Since 1985, the Lees-McRae Summer Theatre has brought the world of entertainment to the High Country. Lees-McRae College prides itself on their wonderful Performing Arts programs that are available for the community of Banner Elk NC to enjoy. Located on the campus of the private, liberal arts college in Banner Elk, North Carolina, the Hummingbird Theatre's productions and professionalism have gained it accolades as one of the best summer theaters in the southeast. The productions utilize professional as well as student artists and are performed either at the Hummingbird Theatre or in the Pinnacle Room.
